Mapudzi, (bottlegourd), is an indigenous and traditional vegetable to Zimbabwe. It is highly nutritious, easy to grow, and gives fruits very early in the summer season, traditionally breaking the winter lean spell of fresh vegetable produce. This variety Chiedza was specifically developed to produce consistent quality fruits that are distinguishable by their rough and speckled green skins, and deep yellow flesh. |
